The recruiting battle is starting to heat up for 2016 prospect Jayce Johnson.
Scott Phillips of NBC Sports is reporting that Johnson has set four official visits. The 6-foot-11 center will visit Colorado (Sept. 19), Notre Dame (Sept. 25), Utah (Oct. 8) and Cal (Oct. 15). He will most likely set up a time to meet with Stanford once they get back from overseas.
There is no clear cut favorite at this point, but according to @247 Sports crystal ball predictions. Utah seems to hold a slight edge over the other three schools.
Johnson hails from Santa Monica, CA and plays AAU for Earl Watson Elite. He is a big kid with a good post game, but can still improve in certain areas. One of the biggest concerns is his lack of strength. He can be pushed around when playing against more aggressive teams.
