Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer is apparently the best at keeping secrets about the Buckeyes’ looming quarterback competition, even from his starting center Jacoby Boren, according to a recent report.
Boren’s older brother, former Ohio State linebacker Zach Boren, sat down with Newsradio 610 WTVN and spoke on asking his brother about the quarterback situation, but Boren said he could not give him an answer.
“I don’t know how Coach Meyer is going to [decide]. To be honest, I texted my little brother and he’s the one who’s going to be snapping to them, and I asked him what’s going to happen and he doesn’t even know, so if he doesn’t even know, I don’t know if anyone knows right now.”
Meyer has been adamant about keeping his decision under wraps and is clearly doing a great job. Meyer said in earlier reports that he would not name the starter until either Cardale Jones or J.T. Barrett takes the first snap from Boren against Virginia Tech on Saturday.
