Florida fans can now rest a little easier going into Saturday’s matchup against New Mexico State, as head coach Jim McElwain announced sophomore Treon Harris will be the starter at quarterback.
Last year as a freshman, Harris threw for 1,019 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions.
McElwain originally listed Harris and freshman Will Grier as co-starters on the team depth-chart. Although McElwain gives Harris the start against the Aggies, he said Grier will also get playing time on Saturday.
Florida and New Mexico State are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. E.T. Saturday on the SEC Network.
