One of the top players for the Ohio State Buckeyes has been rushed to the emergency room, according to multiple reports.
Cardale Jones, who is competing with J.T. Barrett for the starting quarterback job, was sent to the ER with severe head pain. His siblings first shared the news and said the signal-caller could not move and that was later confirmed by Tony Zarrella of Cle 19 News.
The good news is that the situation does not appear to be serious.
Ohio State has yet to comment on the situation or confirm the news.
Campus Sports will provide an update as more information becomes available. Hopefully, the issue is not serious and Jones will be able to get back to 100 percent sooner rather than later.
The impact that this has on the Ohio State quarterback competition remains to be seen.
The Buckeyes are set to kick off their 2015 campaign on Sept. 7 against the Virginia Tech Hokies.
