After inking a long-term contract with Nike for $169 million, Michigan and its interim athletic director Jim Hackett have laid eyes upon the Wolverine’s new threads which includes the Jumpman logo replacing a traditional Nike swoosh.

Although it’d be reverent of Michigan football to associate itself with branding under that category, tacky-in-khaki head coach Jim Harbaugh – like his colleague Hackett – is at peace with the new design that’ll also find itself printed on the men’s and women’s Michigan basketball team jerseys.
Michigan will begin its season tonight at 8:30 PM ET against the Utah Utes, of which Popular Mechanics coined as a ‘cupcake game’ for Michigan. After learning about Utah over-hearing such a comment, Pop Mech shipped a dozen cupcakes to Utah as a peace treaty.
