East Carolina suspends Trevon Brown three games

East Carolina wide receiver Trevon Brown is suspended for the first three regular season games, after being placed on probation for a violation of the school’s student code of conduct.

ESPN reported the news.

ECU’s probation prevents students from representing the school in activities through Sep. 20. Brown is allowed to continue practicing during his suspension.

Brown violated residence-hall policy by hosting friends in his dorm room. According to the policy, each registered room resident is restricted to no more than two guests in the room at once. Brown took full responsibility of the incident.

Coach McNeill said that he “did the right thing and handled it responsibly.”

Brown had 14 receptions for 264 yards, with four touchdowns his freshman year. With his three-game suspension, Brown will miss match ups against: Towson, Florida and Navy.
