After a meeting with Rhode Island on Friday, Syracuse has suffered a loss as Terrell Hunt’s Achilles injury will situate him on the bench for the remainder of the season.
As unfortunate as one injury is to the player and team, this isn’t the first set back Hunt has faced since fracturing his fibula last year against Louisville, which also resulted in Hunt as a bench warmer.

In another series of misfortunes, this isn’t Hunt’s first time leaving a game early (vs. Rhode Island: 0-for-2, INT). In September 2014, Hunt utilized his throwing arm for some extracurricular activities against a Villanova player, a game which Syracuse won in double OT.
In the Friday Night Lights feature with Rhode Island, it’d be three-star recruit and true freshman Chris Dungey, who’d serve as Hunt’s substitute. Proving he can step up, Dungey completed 10 passes out of 17 attempts for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
