Jim Harbaugh’s requests for Michigan’s practice playlist revealed

Jim Harbaugh has made his musical knowledge and preferences well known during his tenure as a football coach. Really, it’s part of his charm.

So we literally jumped for joy upon hearing that the Michigan coaches musical choices for the Wolverines’ practice playlist were leaked.

Some of his request appear to be your typical “rock radio staples,” which are perfect for football practice. Other requests are, um, a little less typical, and a little “left of center” to be frank.

I don’t know how many other coaches would include 1970’s folk in their football playlist. However insisting that Canadian sing-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot be included is just the type of quirky request we expect from Harbs.

Harbaugh notably shared his musical tastes with the masses while coaching at Stanford when he said that he wanted Hootie & The Blowfish to play a halftime show. Then, there was this open mic moment from him during a San Francisco 49ers presser last year.
