4-star SG Kevin Huerter commits to Maryland

Class of 2016 four-star shooting guard Kevin Huerter, out of Shenendehowa Central High School in Clifton Park, New York, near Albany, has committed to the University of Maryland. Huerter announced his decision on his personal Twitter page.

Huerter has excellent size for his position at 6-foot-5, 170 pounds and was also weighing offers from Duquesne, Virginia, Marquette, Syracuse, Michigan and many others before picking Maryland earlier today. His three-point shot borders on deadly and he can hold his own in the playmaking department too. On top of that, his basketball IQ is through the roof.

Once Huerter fills out more and gets stronger, not to mention learns to diversify his offensive game, he is sure to be an excellent addition and immediate impact player on Terps coach Mark Turgeon’s team.
