Greg McElroy makes confident comments about SEC

In the opening weekend of college football, it’s pretty safe to say that the SEC had a damn good showing. The team nearly went undefeated as Vanderbilt was the only team to lose and LSU’s game was cancelled. The conference still posted an impressive 12-1 record for the opening weekend.

This ridiculous record has made on former SEC quarterback speak out and say that he believes there is only one thing that matters in college football. According to College Spun, former Alabama quarterback and current ESPN college football analyst Greg McElroy has some rather confident comments to make when it comes to his former conference home.

For the last two seasons, the SEC hasn’t been nearly as dominant as they were through the 2000’s and early 2010’s despite a team from the conference being in some way involved in the national championship picture. However, it’s pretty hard to say that the conference isn’t back on its way to the top, despite what Ohio State Buckeye fans may feel.
