Virginia Tech’s Sam Rogers scores TD after gnarly juke

In a first quarter dominated by the Ohio State Buckeyes and where Virginia Tech seemed to be on life support, fullback Sam Rogers received a 50-yard rocket from Virginia Tech’s Michael Brewer to shrink the scoreline.

Although Virginia Tech is the unlikely opponent to walk away with a ‘W,’ Rogers’ touchdown snag definitely ranks as a game changer for the Hokies since entering the lively stadium to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.”

With Ohio State claiming 205 yards to Virginia Tech’s 56 yards to begin things, the second quarter is finding itself to favor the Hokies, who are sporting decals to remember the two journalists killed during a live broadcast.
