Video: Ohio State QB Cardale Jones runs in 10-yard TD

Cardale Jones received the starting nod from head coach Urban Meyer this evening in the Ohio State Buckeyes’ season opener against the Virginia Tech Hokies. He has been having a very solid all-around game and added to that with a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to extend his teams lead to 35-17.

It has been a very good game for the most part this evening, although an injury to Virginia Tech starting quarterback Michael Brewer changed the momentum of the game in a big way.

Ohio State has to be happy with their lead after the struggles that they had in the first half. Trailing at 17-14 was a sobering experience for the Buckeyes, but they have bounced back nicely. Jones is without question playing up to the potential that Meyer saw in him to name him the starter and has a very bright season ahead of him.
