Last year, Notre Dame’s men’s basketball team had an impressive season finishing 32-6, 14-4 in ACC play. After losing a close game to Kentucky and ending the year just short of a Final Four appearance, the Fighting Irish players still won a championship, just not the one they really wanted.
In March, Irish were crowned ACC tournament champions after upsetting Duke, the eventual national champions, in the semifinals and defeating North Carolina in the championship game.
Tuesday on Twitter, Notre Dame and Jack Nolan, the voice of Notre Dame Basketball, posted pictures of the ACC championship rings that the Irish were presented to the team, according to Matt Lombardi.
