Can you imagine what it feels like to crack a home run in an MLB game? Atlanta Braves’ third baseman Hector Olivera knows exactly what it feels like, but following his first career shot, his teammates didn’t immediately greet him.
It is usually custom for a baseball team to greet their teammate whenever he hits a home run, but Olivera didn’t get that satisfaction from the Braves after he launched a shot over the left field wall. MLB.com shared the video of what exactly Olivera’s teammates did after his home run against the Philadelphia Phillies.

You would think the Braves would have been a little more excited for him since he helped them to their first win in almost a month. Then again, the win doesn’t really mean much to them now since they are so far out of the Wild Card race it isn’t even laughable any more.
Either way, congratulations Olivera on a job well done. I’m sure this won’t be the last time you round the bases.
