Vernon Adams said he models game after Russell Wilson

Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are all quarterbacks that so many young players like to model their game after but for Oregon’s Vernon Adams it’s Russell Wilson, according to Zach Blaine of GoDucks.com.

Wilson, only 26 years old, has already made two trips to the Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks and has one win. While Wilson was not the ideal type of quarterback coming out of Wisconsin, being what many called “undersized,” he immediately made an impact for the Seahawks as a 3rd round pick.

Adams also added he and Wilson have worked out together at a QB camp in Spokane.

The Oregon quarterback couldn’t have made a better choice to model his game after. Wilson is arguably the best dual-threat quarterback in the NFL. In his only year as a Badger, Wilson led Wisconsin to a Rose Bowl win against, who else, the Oregon Ducks.

If Adams can have the continued success from his years at Eastern Washington and continue to progress his game to see the kind of success Wilson has had, the Ducks are in for a great season.
