WKU LB Der’Quione Mobley arrested for trafficking weed

Well, this isn’t how you want to follow up your team’s big win over an SEC team in the season opener. On Wednesday morning, it was reported that Western Kentucky Hilltoppers linebacker Der’Quione Mobley was arrested earlier this week.

According to the Bowling Green Daily News,  Mobley was arrested on a charge of trafficking of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

The substance in question is, as you would probably guess, marijuana.

The report states that Mobley was smoking near the Southwest Hall and was holding a bag which containted a mason jar with 1.25 ounces of marijuana. There was another subject with Mobley who also had more than an ounce of weed, along with a digital scale, “Apple brand plastic baggies,” and $325 in cash.

The school said that they are aware of the situation, but no further comment was provided.
