Class of 2016 three-star power forward Jalen McDaniels, out of Washington’s Todd Beamer High School, near Seattle, has committed to San Diego State. McDaniels announced his decision on his personal Twitter page.

Built for the inside at a long and lean 6-foot-9, 195 pounds, McDaniels had also drawn interest from Boise State, Nebraska, Montana State, Arizona State, Oregon State and Washington. He’s on the skinny side, but could be an immediate impact player once he fills out and gets acclimated to coach Steve Fisher’s system.
Joining McDaniels in the 2016-17 season are forwards Nolan Narain, and Zylan Cheatham, both of whom are redshirting this season. Needless to say, the Aztecs should continue to dominate the Mountain West for a few more years.
