Texas fans thank Notre Dame for ‘remarkable hospitality’

If anyone knows about being hospitable, it’s people from Texas. The Texas Longhorn fans traveled very well to their team’s opening game last Saturday in South Bend against Notre Dame. The fans got more than they ever bargained for when it comes to the people of Notre Dame accepting them and making them feel welcome.

Longhorn fans got together and wrote a thank you letter to the people of Notre Dame for their “remarkable hospitality.” The Texas fans said that they were very happy with Notre Dame in the letter published in The Observer Thursday morning.

Despite the outcome of the game, it’s pretty cool to see that the Longhorn fans recognized the welcoming atmosphere of South Bend. It’s nice to hear about visiting fans getting treated nicely by a host team and their fanbase for a change.

Let’s hope some of the bigger rivals across the country take a page out of the Fighting Irish’s book this season. I’m looking at you Auburn and Alabama.
