Cardale Jones reveals he will start against Hawaii

It appears that the Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback controversy can officially be put to bed as Cardale Jones has tweeted that he will start today’s game against Hawaii in Columbus.

We can thus put any theory that coach Urban Meyer would rotate quarterbacks to bed, as the man is clearly opting to go with the 6-foot-5, 250 pound Jones. This isn’t at all surprising, as Jones completed 10 of 19 pass attempts for 187 yards and two touchdowns this past Monday in Ohio State’s season opener against Virginia Tech. He also added 99 rush yards and a touchdown on 13 carries as Ohio State won 42-24.

He will now have something of an easier matchup against the Rainbow Warriors, and fans should look forward to another big game for the Buckeyes. Barrett could end up playing too, but it’s looking like Jones is all but entrenched as the team’s starter going forward.
