Miami Hurricanes head coach Al Golden has been on the receiving end of harsh criticism in his four-plus years with the team, and he recently sent a message to his critics. Miami beat Florida Atlantic 44-20 yesterday to improve to 2-0 on the season and though it was a non-conference game, Golden felt the need to say something.
Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post posted Golden’s words on Twitter.

This news comes on the heels of there being a pro-Butch Davis banner being flown over FAU’s stadium, but Golden is refusing to bat an eye. He is 30-22 (16-16 ACC) in his Miami tenure, but has not won a bowl game or beaten Florida State once. Still, he is a strong recruiter and is slowly turning the program around, so fans should listen to his words and be patient for now.
Miami’s next test comes a week from today at home against Nebraska.
