Video: Bacarri Rambo takes Donte Moncrief to ‘Suplex City’

The NFL season kicked off on Sunday and it provided plenty of great games, shocking results, great plays, and yes, big hits. During the Buffalo Bills’ and Indianapolis Colts’ game, Bills’ safety Bacarri Rambo executed what was easily the most well-executed tackle of the day.

Colts’ wide receiver Donte Moncrief now knows exactly what it feels like to be taken to “Suplex City”. That term was famously coined by WWE superstar Brock Lesnar who is known for throwing his opponents around the ring like ragdolls. He first mentioned it during Wrestlemania 31 in March when he had already suplexed Roman Reigns a handful of times before screaming out “Suplex City, bitch!”

The only thing I wish would have happened after that tackle was the crowd all shouting “ONE!” in unison, as if there would be more to come. Professional wrestlers are trained to take these kinds of bumps, so I can’t imagine what that must have felt like for Moncrief as he went flying through the air.

Thank goodness he had pads on, right? For Rambo and the rest of the NFL fans, I seriously hope this isn’t the last WWE-like tackle we see this season.
