During the season-opener against Youngstown State, the Pittsburgh Panthers watched star running back James Conner go down with a torn MCL which prematurely ended his season.
While Conner is recovering from the injury, Duke Blue Devils head coach David Cutclife made a classy gesture by sending a heartfelt letter to the talented runner wishing him a speedy and full recovery.
The letter included a hand-written note.
Check it out.
It’s great to see coaches around the nation supporting players in their conference.
Now, Conner will be mulling the decision of whether to return to Pittsburgh for another season or to forego his final eligibility at the collegiate level to declare for the 2016 NFL Draft.
