Clemson WR Mike Williams using jersey from injury as cape

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. For Clemson Tigers wide receiver Mike Williams, he is using the jersey that was worn during an unfortunate accident as a reminder and some motivation as he does what he can to help his team this season.

During the season-opener, Williams fell head first into the goal post and suffered a small neck fracture.

While Williams recovers, he has been assisting the wide receivers coaches. Despite his new coaching role, Williams has found a unique way to continue repping the Tigers with his gameday jersey from that fateful play.

Clemson tweeted out a photo that shows Williams strolling around the team facility with his jersey as a cape.

#SilverLinings The jersey that was cut off of you just becomes an awesome Superman cape. @darealmike_dub

It is great to see Williams is not allowing his injury to keep him down.

Clemson returns to the field this weekend on the road at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium against the Louisville Cardinals. Hopefully, Williams will be able to have a full and speedy recovering and rejoin his teammates on the field sooner rather than later.
