Louisville freshman returns kickoff 100 yards for a TD

Though Louisville dropped to 0-3 in last night’s 20-17 loss to ACC rival Clemson, it can’t be argued that coach Bobby Petrino’s boys gave 110 percent from start to finish.

After a field goal put Clemson up 20-10 midway through the fourth quarter, Louisville freshman Traveon Samuel fielded the kickoff and did what any player would do in such a situation: return the ball 100 yards for a touchdown to put the Cardinals within three.

That said, though Louisville has had an extended string of bad luck to start the 2015 season and is now out of the College Football Playoff picture, one thing is certain. Even if they go winless for the year, the team will never go down quietly!

Louisville’s next game comes against the Southern Conference’s Samford Bulldogs next Saturday.
