With just over eleven minutes left in the game, the Miami Hurricanes kicked a field goal to extend their already large lead to 33-10. The Nebraska Cornhuskers knew they needed to get something going, and they sure did.
Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. turned his day around in the fourth quarter as he threw for three touchdowns. His final touchdown came with thirty-three seconds left in regulation. His team was down 33-25. Armstrong, who had previously thrown three interceptions in the game, found Jordan Westerkamp in the endzone for the two-point conversion to tie the game.

What a big way to make a comeback. Unfortunately for the Cornhuskers, the Hurricanes were able to put the game away in overtime after a Michael Badgley 28-yard field goal to win the game
The Cornhuskers are going to have to try harder to avoid getting in that position int he future. The team is currently 1-2 and they next welcome in the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles next Saturday.
As for Al Golden and the Hurricanes, his team is undefeated, but just barely. The team may have won, but Golden’s hot seat may have just gotten hotter.
