ESPN thinks Bears will land No. 1 pick in 2016 draft

The Chicago Bears put forth a disappointing effort in Week 2 of the NFL regular season and oddsmakers are taking notice. After losing to the Arizona Cardinals, 48-23, ESPN’s Football Power Index rated Chicago as the worst team in football.

With those updated rankings, ESPN currently projects the Bears will be on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick in front of their home fans at the 2016 NFL Draft.

Rounding out the top five are the Oakland Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars.

If things continue to go downhill for the Bears, it will be a very long season in the Windy City.

But while it could be a struggle to sit through the remainder of the season as a football fan in Chicago, Bears fans would likely embrace their top pick. A new quarterback, perhaps?
