When a player is considered for the Heisman Trophy, you can usually go back and look at their season and pick one moment and say “That is when (insert name here) won the Heisman.”
For LSU running back Leonard Fournette, you can look at his last two games and say that exact same thing.
Fournette has looked absolutely phenomenal in the Tigers’ first two games, running for career highs in rushing yards the last two games. This is equally impressive when you realize that Fournette and the Tigers have played against two SEC West defenses in Mississippi State and Auburn.
Twitter blew up with talks of Fournette being ahead of the pack when it comes to the most prestigious award in all of college football. Unsurprisingly, many people have already said that the trophy should just be given to Fournette now.
Leonard Fournette is your Heisman frontrunner. No one else will come close to what he's doing today. Unreal stuff.

Just give Leonard Fournette the Heisman now.

Predicted Leonard Fournette would win the Heisman last season… I think I was a year early on that one.

Fournette has rushed for 387 yards and six touchdowns in his first two games. You can almost bet those numbers will drastically improve on Saturday as the team travels to New York to play the Syracuse Orange.
Too bad for some NFL teams, that Fournette still has one year left in college. That’s also pretty bad for the rest of the SEC.
