The Ole Miss Rebels are the new No. 3 ranked team in the country after knocking off the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday night. It was an impressive win for the Rebels and there is no question that they proved they were for real to the rest of the nation.

Following the game, the media immediately began to hype Ole Miss up after giving them no chance against ‘Bama all week. They have to be happy that they are now considered a favorite rather than a major underdog, but it was a roller coaster change.

Ole Miss was rewarded for their win over the Crimson Tide by being the latest Sports Illustrated magazine cover.

Obviously this is a huge step in the right direction for Hugh Freeze and the Rebels. They wanted to head into Tuscaloosa and make a bold statement, which is exactly what they did. Their offense is no joke and they have the playmakers defensively to shut down almost any offense that they face.

Expect to see Ole Miss continue playing top-notch football and being one of the top teams in the nation. They have the talent to make a run at the second college football playoff and Freeze obviously has his players playing with that goal in mind.
