Florida State Seminoles cornerback Jalen Ramsey is a highly-touted NFL prospect.
Entering the season, many viewed the defensive back as a potential candidate for the No. 1 overall pick. Recently, one anonymous AFC scout sounded off on the prospect and it appears as though Ramsey has done nothing to hurt himself through three weeks.
If the scout’s view is any indication of how the rest of the league is thinking, Ramsey will be a top pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
“Best cornerback in college and it really won’t be close when the draft rolls around. He’s an elite athlete with length and ball skills. Those guys go in the top five,” the scout told NFL.com.
That is some very high praise.
Considering the hype leading into the season, it isn’t too surprising that Ramsey remains in the top five discussion.
The only question is whether Ramsey will be capable of maintaining this level of play for the duration of the season. If he can, he will be in for a huge payday.
