There’s an open Athletics Director position open at the University of Texas and it’s been rumored that University of Louisville’s Athletics Director, Tom Jurich, was a rumored candidate for the job.
It doesn’t seem too surprising that Jurich’s name appeared on the list of potentials for the position. It seems that’s usually the case when a position like this one opens up at big name program. He did, after all, in his tenure at University of Louisville, turn the program from one that was totally average to one of the best in the country.
Although, the rumor of relocation from Louisville to Texas seems to be just that. A rumor.
On Wednesday evening at the WISH Awards, Jurich told Sports Director Kent Taylor that he was perfectly happy where he was in Louisville.
“I think I have the best job in college sports, and I want to stay here as long as everybody will have me,” said Jurich.
So, who will be taking over the Athletics Director position in Texas?
Guess we’ll have to wait and see to find out.
