Cardinals DB loses bet, has to wear LSU jersey

Bets are some of the best ways to make sporting events even more interesting than they already are. The most recent bet in the NFL was between a few teammates of the Arizona Cardinals.

Last weekend the Auburn Tigers and LSU Tigers faced off with each other and it went very much so in the latter team’s favor. Former LSU stars Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu made a bet with teammate and former Auburn defensive back Jerraud Powers.

Let’s just say it didn’t go his way.

Isn’t it ironic that three of the best players at LSU in the last decade all wore number 7? Peterson, Mathieu, and current running back Leonard Fournette all wore that number and it’s only fitting that they made Powers wear that in him losing the bet.

Oh well. Maybe next year, Powers. Just try to make a bet when the Tigers don’t have the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy in their backfield.
