Losing Lynch against a subpar Bears defense and offense that is already missing Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffery due to injury shouldn’t hurt Seattle’s chances of winning the game, but it’s just another thing to add to the list of things that have not gone right for the two-time defending NFC champions this season. Seattle has gone 0-2 to start the year and are in great need of a strong showing on Sunday.
Given how big a role Lynch plays in the team’s offense, this could end up being a big loss if he ends up sitting out. Like the rest of his team, Lynch has gotten off to something of a slow start this year, rushing for 114 yards on 33 carries. He has yet to score a touchdown. If he does miss Sunday’s game, veteran Fred Jackson will likely assume No. 1 duties.
Campus Sports will update Lynch’s status for Sunday once any new information is made available.
