Video: Leonard Fournette catches pitch, races downfield

LSU running back Leonard Fournette is very good. He is showing that already as the Tigers take on Syracuse at the Carrier Dome.

The Tigers were on their second drive of the day and were faced with a second and long. Quarterback Brandon Harris dropped back to pass and he was nearly sacked.

As he was going down, he was very alert as he pitched the ball back to Fournette, he bobbled the ball before securing it and taking off for a big gain down to the redzone.

Timothy Burke has it exactly right. HOW did he do that? I don’t know, but it was crazy. It was also a very alert play by Harris to get rid of the ball.

The big play led to a fourteen-yard run into the endzone by Fournette. The Tigers lead 7-0 early in the game.
