Arizona QB Anu Solomon left UCLA game with head injury

The Arizona Wildcats’ offense could be looking at a significant loss as quarterback Anu Solomon apparently left yesterday’s blowout loss against UCLA with a head injury. Solomon’s injury was reported on Twitter by The Score.

Solomon suffered the injury in the second quarter. At the time, he was 4 of 10 for 55 yards and a touchdown. Backup Jerrard Randall came in and was ineffective as UCLA won 56-30.

Losing Solomon for any period of time would immediately cripple Arizona, as he is one of the most accurate and precise passers in the game and is a phenomenal leader. On the 2015 season, he has thrown for 833 yards and 11 touchdowns, with no interceptions. The sophomore’s completion percentage is an excellent 65.8 percent.

No official diagnosis has been announced yet, but Campus Sports will update Solomon’s status as any and all new information becomes available.

Arizona will look to rebound next weekend when the team goes on the road to visit the Stanford Cardinal.
