Fans praying for EMU as they face Fournette this week

The Eastern Michigan Eagles got a whole load of running on Saturday when they faced the Army Black Knights. Next Saturday, they travel to Baton Rogue to face the LSU Tigers and they are sure going to be facing another run-heavy offense, mostly thanks to running back Leonard Fournette.

Fournette has the nation’s top rushing average this season at over 210 yards per game. He is also leading the race for the Heisman Trophy this season, so this is surely going to be a tough road for the Eagles this week.

Fournette is just one of four running backs to rush for at least 600 yards this season, joining Indiana’s Jordan Howard, San Jose State’s Tyler Ervin, and Notre Dame’s CJ Prosise. Fournette has gone for 631 yards in three games, while the other three have gone for at least 600 in four.

To sum it all up, Fournette is very good and the Eagles are in trouble. According to College Football Talk, fans around the country have already begun praying for Eastern Michigan for when they take the field on Saturday.

@KevinOnCFB on my way to church. I'll put them down as a prayer request.

Is it too late for Pope Francis to come to Ypsilanti? https://t.co/qTlLuwnH8X

@KevinOnCFB @celebrityhottub they'll probably need a compass to figure out which directional Michigan they are after he is done with them

The Eagles are certainly going to need some divine intervention to help them this upcoming weekend.
