Virginia Tech Hokies junior cornerback Kendall Fuller is unlikely and “very doubtful” to play in the team’s game against Pittsburgh this weekend, per head coach Frank Beamer. Beamer’s update was reported on Twitter by Andy Bitter of the Roanoke Times.

A former four-star recruit from the Washington, DC area, Fuller has a sprained knee and missed this past weekend’s game, a 35-28 loss to East Carolina that dropped Virginia Tech to 2-2 on the year. Pitt is an ACC rival that also happens to have one of the best receivers in the nation in Tyler Boyd, and not having their top corner covering him is sure to hurt the Hokies.
Hopefully, Fuller can get back on the field soon and help the Hokies work hard to go on a successful run to end the season.
Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. ET on Saturday.
