During the first half of this past weekend’s game between the North Carolina Tar Heels and Deleware Blue Hens, UNC quarterback Marquise Williams was pulled in favor of Mitch Trubisky.
According to head coach Larry Fedora, the switchw as simply made to provide a spark in the offense.
While the switch to Trubisky seemed to work out for the Tar Heels, Fedora doesn’t want to hear any conersation about a quarterback controversy. As far as Fedora is concerned, Williams is still the guy.
”I don’t want to start some type of controversy because there’s not one,” Fedora said, via NBC Sports.
That means the Tar Heels will be relying on Williams when they make the trip to Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field in Atlanta to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Considering Williams was on a short leash against Delaware, however, he better hope to get off to a hot start if he has a chance to remain on the field.
