TCU WR Ty Slanina out for season with broken collarbone

As the TCU Horned Frogs prepare to enter the crucial part of their season, they have once again been struck by the injury bug. On Monday, TCU announced wide receiver Ty Slanina will be forced to miss the remainder of the season with a broken collarbone.

Slanina finishes the season with 11 catches for 134 receiving yards.

With Slanina now out for the year, the Horned Frogs will need to replace a penciled in starter. Jarrison Stewart is expected to be the next man up in Fort Worth.

This season as a freshman, Stewart has hauled in eight passes for 115 yards.

It isn’t a huge drop off in production, but the lack of experience in the starting lineup is something that TCU will need to work through.

Next up for TCU is a Saturday meeting with the Texas Longhorns at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
