After alternating wins and losses throughout the first month of the season — including an embarassing 45-6 loss to the West Virginia Mountaineers last weekend — members of the Maryland Terrapins are looking to regroup and get on the same page.
As it turns out, the Terrapins leaders decided to do so by holding a players-only meeting.
The players-only meeting was so top secret that it came as a surprise to the team’s head coach, Randy Edsall. Edsall didn’t learn of the meeting until being asked by a reporter on the weekly Big Ten coaches conference call.
Maryland coach Randy Edsall asked about reports of players-only meeting: "that’s news to me. I don’t think we had a players only meeting."

Considering the players-only meeting was reported on in the wee hours of the morning, you have to wonder how Edsall was unaware.
Perhaps he was trying to play it off, but you never want it to appear that you have no idea what is going on within your program. Unfortunately for Edsall, that’s the way things currently look.
