The UCLA Bruins are currently a top ten team in the AP poll and they are looking like one of the best teams in country right now. They got a dominant win over the Arizona Wildcats this past Saturday as they won 56-30.
Despite their dominant performance, one linebacker wasn’t happy with the way the Bruins’ defense played. Inside UCLA shared a video of Kenny Young talking about how their defense didn’t perform as well as they would have liked.
He talked about how they missed way too many tackles and gave up a lot of yards.
“That’s embarrassing,” the sophomore said. “Look at how many yards we gave up. That’s embarrassing for me. That’s embarrassing to put on TV. … We missed 21 tackles. Come on, man. We’re supposed to be one of the top defenses, and we missed 21 tackles.”
The Bruins gave up 468 total yards of offense. Despite that, the Bruins held the Wildcats to only 14 points in the first half as they held a 42-14 lead going into the locker room.
The Bruins’ offense did make up for most of the defense’s mishaps. They went for nearly 500 yards of offense and they did put up 42 points in the first half.
