The Georgia Bulldogs are one of the hottest teams in the country right now. They look nearly unstoppable on the ground with Nick Chubb and Sony Michel leading the way. On the other hand, the Tennessee Volunteers are on the decline when it comes to putting points and wins on the board.
The Bulldogs and Volunteers face off with each other in a pivotal SEC East matchup a week from Saturday in Knoxville and they will be featured in a big afternoon television game. According to the Macon Telegraph, CBS has selected the Georgia and Tennessee game for their weekly 3:30 CBS slot.
This will be the third time this season the Bulldogs have played on CBS. Their first game was against Vanderbilt two weeks ago and they host Alabama on CBS this Saturday. Next week’s matchup is the first CBS game for the Volunteers.
In 2014, the Bulldogs won their fifth straight game against Tennessee with a thrilling 35-32 win. That win also tied the overall series between the two teams and the Bulldogs will look to take a lead in the series for the first time since 1989.
