The Missouri Tigers have announced that quarterback Maty Mauk won’t see any playing time this weekend against South Carolina this weekend. Mauk has been suspended for one game for “disciplinary reasons related to a violation of team policies.”

Along with Mauk, backup offensive lineman Malik Cuellar will also be suspended for disciplinary reasons.
Without Mauk in the lineup, Drew Lock (4-of-15, 225 yards, TD, INT), a freshman pro-style quarterback out of Lee’s Summit, will likely get the start.
Even though Mauk passed for 25 touchdowns to 13 interceptions last year, 2015 has proved a sluggish start with five touchdowns and four interceptions for a teamcurrently averaging 219.8 passing yards per game, which ranks ninth of 14 in the SEC.
