Gonzaga’s Przemek Karnowski to have season-ending back surgery

The Gonzaga Bulldogs will be without a huge body in their frontcourt for the remainder of the basketball season. According to a report from NBC Sports, Gonzaga center Przemek Karnowski will be forced to miss the remainder of the season after undergoing season-ending back surgery.

Karnowski last took the court for the Bulldogs on Nov. 27, a win over the Connecticut Huskies.

On the season, the 7-foot-1 center is averaging 8.8 points and 5.4 rebounds, though his presence inside of the paint on defense is something that will be difficult for Gonzaga to replace.

Without Karnowski moving forward, the Bulldogs are going to have to find other players to step up on the defensive side of the ball.
