Joey Bosa was ejected from the Fiesta Bowl against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for targeting, although it was a call that many disagreed with. Following his ejection, the Ohio State Buckeyes’ star defensive end took to his Twitter account in the locker room to apologize to the fan base.
Ohio State loves Bosa and seeing him end his college career on an ejection is a tough thing to swallow.
Throughout the course of the 2015 college football season, Bosa recorded 47 tackles, 5.0 sacks, an interception, four defensed passes and a forced fumble. Ohio State’s defense wouldn’t have been nearly as tough without him as they have been throughout the season.
Whether the call was targeting or not, Bosa did the right thing by taking to Twitter to thank the OSU fans. They have had his back throughout his entire career and will have his back at the NFL level as well.
