LSU has number one recruiting class for 2016

The LSU Tigers certainly didn’t end the season the way they would have wanted as they lost three games in November and it looked like head coach Les Miles could be on his way out. Luckily for him, he was retained and he has been making the best of his second chance in Baton Rouge.

The Tigers and Ohio State Buckeyes have been battling back and forth most of this season atop the 2016 recruiting class rankings. During Saturday’s Under Armour All-American Game, the Tigers got two big commits which helped them jump back to the top of 247Sports’s rankings.

Four-star wide receiver Drake Davis made his decision for the Tigers, while four-star linebacker Michael Divinity affirmed his commitment to LSU. This gave the Tigers 13 four-star guys, the most in the country, and pushed them back in front of the Buckeyes.

Florida State once again made a big jump to number 3, going above Ole Miss, Alabama, and Michigan with the commitment of four-star linebacker Keion Joyner. You can see the top ten below.

1. LSU
2. Ohio State
3. Florida State
4. Michigan
5. Alabama
6. Ole Miss
7. Auburn
8. Florida
9. Penn State
10. USC
