Doug Pederson expected to be leading candidate for Eagles HC job

The Philadelphia Eagles pulled off a pretty shocking move earlier this week as they fired head coach Chip Kelly after a 6-9 start and missing the playoffs. It looks like they are already searching for their new head coach and they are chasing after a former coach to take over the position.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson, who coaches under former Eagles head coach Andy Reid, is the leading candidate for the head coaching job in Philadelphia.

Pederson served as the offensive quality control coordinator and the quarterbacks coach during his time with the Eagles. He has been with the Chiefs since 2013 and has the offense looking like one of the best in the league right now.

It is always good to bring in somebody that that the fans already know, so Pederson may be the best guy for the job.
