Kevin Sumlin ‘trying hard’ to land an NFL job

After a disappointing finish to 2015, that saw his top quarterbacks leave the program, Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin is looking for a job in the NFL.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Silver, Sumlin is “trying hard” to land a job at the next level.

The Aggies started out the season 5-0, but lost five of their last eight, including a loss to Louisville in the Music City Bowl. Their loss in the Music City Bowl was A&M’s first bowl loss under Sumlin.

Last month it was reported that Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp was looking to fire Sumlin, and was unhappy with the direction of the program. Something that Sharp later vehemently denied.

2015 was Sumlin’s fourth season in College Station, with his overall record 36-16 along with a 17-15 mark in the SEC.
