Because that’s exactly how football works. In typical Trump fashion, he overlooked the reserve linebacker breaking the starting quarterback’s jaw in the preseason and fourth quarter interceptions in declaring the cause for the New York Jets’ demise.
Instead, it’s because Jets owner Woody Johnson didn’t throw his lot in with The Donald. If he did, then the only logical conclusion would be that the Jets would be in the playoffs.
