Clemson Tigers coach Dabo Swinney has said that his team will be “the best ever” if they beat Alabama in next week’s championship game and finish the season a perfect 15-0, according to a tweet from Paul Myerberg of USA Today.
If Clemson goes 15-0 "we'll be the best ever," Dabo said. Would be first 15-0 team.

That’s big talk from Swinney, especially since his squad are currently seven-point underdogs heading into next week. Alabama is a tough team from the SEC, easily the strongest conference in college football, and Clemson could have a tough time slowing down the Crimson Tide’s balanced and experienced offense despite having a fine front seven.
But the fact of the matter is that Clemson has played with a chip on its shoulder all season long and has not once blinked in the face of strong competition. Just ask the Oklahoma Sooners who, despite looking strong early on, ended up falling to Clemson 37-17 in the Orange Bowl semifinal on New Year’s Eve.
That said, be sure to tune to ESPN on Monday at 8:30 p.m. ET to watch what should be a fantastic game from start to finish!
