Jim Mora has no interest in leaving UCLA

UCLA coach Jim Mora has no interest in leaving the school for an NFL job, according to Tracy Pierson of Scout.

Mora, 54, has been at UCLA since 2012 and has gone 37-16 (23-13 Pac-12) with the Bruins. He makes $3.25 million a year coaching in Westwood, so leaving for the NFL was already an unlikely scenario.

However, Mora’s ties to the pros are incredibly hard to ignore. His father coached the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts, and Mora himself coached both the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks over the course of four seasons, going 31-33. In his first year with Atlanta, he went 11-5 and reached the NFC Championship Game.

That all being said, until the NFL’s latest coaching carousel comes to a complete stop, don’t count on Mora remaining at UCLA 100 percent. When push comes to shove, the right offer from the right team could end up being too hard to ignore.
